Ecosystem restoration – reset your vacation with nature

The theme of World Environment Day 2021 is World Environment Day. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th all over the world through various activities and campaigns with the aim of drawing public attention to numerous environmental problems and the need to preserve the environment. On that day in 1972, the UN General Assembly adopted a joint Programme of International Cooperation for the purpose of environmental protection. On this day, numerous activities are launched around the world that involve the public and encourage and promote a responsible attitude towards the environment. The Project for the Protection of Biodiversity and Water of Lake Palić and Lake Ludaš “ECOLACUS” is being implemented in Subotica. An integrated approach to the implementation of this Project enables the restoration of balance in the disturbed ecosystem of Lake Palić and Ludaš. It is valuable and is financed by a donation from the German Development Bank (KfW). The attached document briefly outlines the effects of the implementation of the ECOLACUS Project within the scope of the activities of the Public Enterprise “Water Supply and Sewerage” Subotica and the Public Enterprise “Palić – Ludaš”, which should formally be completed by the end of this year, 2021. years. Our community remains tasked with preserving and improving the values ​​of the recovered ecosystem of Lake Palić and Ludaš, so that its degradation does not occur again. Completed works on the rehabilitation of the pier at Male Beach

During the past month, works on the rehabilitation of the pier on Palić’s Male Beach, with a total area of ​​2450 m 2 , were completed. On this occasion, the existing surface glaze coating was removed manually and mechanically and a new glaze coating was applied in one layer. The following photos follow the text:

The Folk Music Fest was held in Palić over the weekend.

The seventh “Folk Music Fest” was held over the weekend at the Grand Terrace in Palić. The first day of the festival featured tamburitza concerts performed by ensembles from Subotica and Čantavir, while the second day was dedicated to traditional Hungarian music from across the Carpathian Basin, as well as from Subotica, Szeged, and Baja.
Those present at the Grand Terrace in Palić were welcomed by the festival organizer Gábor Juhász, president of the Citizens’ Association “Juhászok”, as well as by Bálint Pásztor, President of the City Assembly.

As part of the accompanying program, an exhibition of folk arts was organized, along with handicraft workshops and traditional children’s toy workshops, as well as instrument presentations for children and a presentation by the St. Longinus Association of Medieval Traditions.

Calling all musicians and other artists

Younger and older performers, soloists, groups, established and emerging bands, musical ensembles, artists, amateurs, formal and informal bands… You are all invited to apply and present your performance or act to the visitors of Palić.

What is it really about?

The Music Pavilion in Palić has existed for more than 100 years. It was intended to serve as a space for hosting smaller promenade concerts. Over a century ago, the city council signed a contract requiring 13 members of its orchestra to perform promenade music every day during June, July, and August. Our goal this year is to revive this facility and restore it to its original purpose.

And where are you?

Anyone who has the desire, willingness, talent, and above all positive energy is invited to apply and may have the opportunity to perform in this original and beautiful venue.
Applications are open until Friday, May 28, at 6:00 PM. Please send us an email including the name of your group, a short description of your performance (genre, number of members in the group, number of vocalists, musical instruments, etc.), audio, video, or photo material of your performance, as well as your contact information (full name, phone number, and email). We will get back to you to arrange all the details and conditions.
We are also open to collaboration with other artistic groups. Contact us, present your work, and we will certainly establish some form of cooperation.

SEEOOC Open Cup Successfully Held on Lake Palić

rom May 7 to May 9, the Palić Sailing Club hosted the 14th international sailing regatta SEEOOC – the South East European Open Cup for the “Optimist” class on Lake Palić.
A total of 61 competitors from five countries participated in the regatta: North Macedonia, Montenegro, Hungary, Slovakia, and Serbia.
Among the members of the Palić Sailing Club, Nenad Zakić won third place in the overall ranking and third place in the boys’ category, while Bertalan Molnar took third place in the boys’ under-12 category.
Among the domestic competitors, Nenad achieved first place in the overall ranking and first place in the boys’ category, while Bertalan secured first place in the boys’ under-12 category.

The 75th May Day Regatta was held

Last weekend, from April 30 to May 2, the traditional 75th “May Day Regatta” was held in Palić, organized by the Palić Sailing Club.
A total of 96 competitors from Serbia (representing 12 clubs) and three competitors from Hungary took part in the event.
The medal winners among the members of the Palić Sailing Club were:

Tihomir Zakić – 1st place in the FINN class
Luka Sretenović – 3rd place in the Laser 4.7 class – overall and 3rd place in the Laser 4.7 class – boys
Kristina Boja – 2nd place in the Laser Radial class – girls and 3rd place in the Laser Radial class – overall
Danilo Bešić – 3rd place in the Laser Standard class
Bertalan Molnar – 1st place in the Optimist class – boys under 12
Nenad Zakić – 2nd place in the Optimist class – overall and 2nd place in the Optimist class – boys

Palić Hosted Numerous Visitors During the Holidays

Several thousand visitors took advantage of the holidays to spend their May Day and Easter break at Lake Palić. Although the “May Day Picnic” event was not organized this year, visitors still had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities, such as free walking tours, visits to the Zoo, entertainment at the amusement park, cycling and pedal boat rides, as well as spending time in nature.
The terraces of local restaurants and cafés were open, allowing many visitors to refresh themselves after walking along the shores of Palić Lake.

hosszas mérlegelést követően, valamint az ország járványügyi helyzetének és a Szerb Köztársaság Kormányának Válságstábja által kiadott ajánlások figyelembevételével a Park Palić Kft. úgy döntött, hogy a hagyományos „Majális Palicson” rendezvény idén nem kerül megrendezésre.
Tekintettel arra, hogy a rendezvény minden évben rendkívül nagy látogatottságnak örvend, felelős magatartással és a rendezvény lemondásával szeretnénk követni Szabadka Városának a hasonló események megszervezésével kapcsolatos felelős döntéseit, valamint hangsúlyozni, hogy mindannyiunk biztonsága és egészsége az első helyen áll.

Finn Match Race Cup held in Palić

On Lake Palić 10. on April 11, the Finn Match Race Cup – Vesna Skala Memorial was held on Lake Palić. This regatta for the FINN class was organized according to international match race rules and conducted in a tournament format with direct elimination duels.
This attractive competition format gathered sailors from across Serbia for the fifth time, including competitors from Belgrade, Smederevo, and Palić, with a total of 26 participants taking part in the event.
The winner of the 5th Finn Match Race Cup – Vesna Skala Memorial was Milan Đorđević from the “Sava” Sailing Club. Nikola Marjanović from the “Ada” Sailing Club finished in second place, while third place was shared by Dejan Zakić and Balint Firstner from the Palić Sailing Club.
