The Folk Music Fest was held in Palić over the weekend.

The seventh “Folk Music Fest” was held over the weekend at the Grand Terrace in Palić. The first day of the festival featured tamburitza concerts performed by ensembles from Subotica and Čantavir, while the second day was dedicated to traditional Hungarian music from across the Carpathian Basin, as well as from Subotica, Szeged, and Baja.
Those present at the Grand Terrace in Palić were welcomed by the festival organizer Gábor Juhász, president of the Citizens’ Association “Juhászok”, as well as by Bálint Pásztor, President of the City Assembly.

As part of the accompanying program, an exhibition of folk arts was organized, along with handicraft workshops and traditional children’s toy workshops, as well as instrument presentations for children and a presentation by the St. Longinus Association of Medieval Traditions.

Calling all musicians and other artists

Younger and older performers, soloists, groups, established and emerging bands, musical ensembles, artists, amateurs, formal and informal bands… You are all invited to apply and present your performance or act to the visitors of Palić.

What is it really about?

The Music Pavilion in Palić has existed for more than 100 years. It was intended to serve as a space for hosting smaller promenade concerts. Over a century ago, the city council signed a contract requiring 13 members of its orchestra to perform promenade music every day during June, July, and August. Our goal this year is to revive this facility and restore it to its original purpose.

And where are you?

Anyone who has the desire, willingness, talent, and above all positive energy is invited to apply and may have the opportunity to perform in this original and beautiful venue.
Applications are open until Friday, May 28, at 6:00 PM. Please send us an email including the name of your group, a short description of your performance (genre, number of members in the group, number of vocalists, musical instruments, etc.), audio, video, or photo material of your performance, as well as your contact information (full name, phone number, and email). We will get back to you to arrange all the details and conditions.
We are also open to collaboration with other artistic groups. Contact us, present your work, and we will certainly establish some form of cooperation.
For any additional information, you can contact us via email at office@park-palic.rs or by phone at +381 65 960 27 95.
