Prvi u nizu objekata podignutih 1912. godine u stilu secesije, ujedno i simbol Palića, stoji kao kapija na glavnom ulazu u Veliki park još od kad je tramvaj spajao grad Suboticu sa banjom. Sa tornjem i paviljonom, koje povezuje centralni svod ukrašen rezbarenim i bojenim erdeljskim šarama, nekada je predstavljao i značajni vodovodni objekat ali i tramvajsku stanicu.
